New deputy head of MSE and head of the Civil Engineering profile
21.03.2025 From 1st April 2025 onwards, Pierre Queloz will be the deputy Head of Degree Programme for the Master of Science in Engineering MSE. He will also be in charge of the Civil Engineering profile.
As a future (tenure track) professor of Water Extremes, Pierre Queloz brings with him extensive expertise in the fields of hydrology, water management and applied research. After completing his studies and doctorate at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Pierre Queloz participated in various international projects, one of which a research and cooperation programme in Burkina Faso.
In his current position as Deputy Head of the Innovation Section at the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), he is responsible for the strategic orientation of research and the management and further development of funding instruments in the field of innovation. Pierre Queloz has an extensive network of partners from science, industry and administration. He has also been involved in teaching, supervising numerous student theses and doctorates. His interdisciplinary perspective, his international experience and his passion for practice-oriented research will bring great added value to BFH. We look forward to working with him.
As deputy head of the degree programme, Pierre Queloz replaces Andreas Habegger as head of degree programme fort he Master of Science in Engineering.
