Situation

Labour shortage and lack of diversity are killers to business performance in Switzerland and the EU and hinder companies to fully perform. Informed companies get active to alleviate these problems by recruiting more diverse talent. Studies show that the language used in job ads or in career sites actually deter certain talents from applying. Using inclusive language is therefore necessary to attract diverse talents.

Course of action

The Witty Works Diversifier helps companies to avoid deterring language and optimize their job ads in real-time. The researchers from the Institute for Data Applications and Security IDAS support Witty Works GmbH in this project to apply innovative Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning technologies to the Diversifier.

Result

By providing an easy-to-use tool with accurate results to optimize job ads to attract diverse talents, diversity and inclusion in the Swiss and European society is improved, in particular on the labour market.
