Situation
The energy and climate data platform serves as a monitoring tool for visualizing energy and climate data. It enables a detailed presentation at municipal and building level and shows progress towards climate neutrality. The underlying data comes from the Federal Register of Buildings and Dwellings (GWR).
Course of action
The platform is continuously developed and the data is regularly updated. The climate metrics of the Canton of Bern provide a standardized methodology for balancing greenhouse gas emissions in the municipalities. These indicators help to identify effective measures to reduce emissions. Municipalities can obtain the relevant data from the Office for Environment and Energy.
