In-bed legpress

To prevent inactivity-related conditions during bed rest, a leg training device is desirable. In this project we focus on further developing pre-existing devices in a ‹User-Centered Design› (UCD) process.

Situation

To prevent inactivity-related conditions during hospitalization or in-patient rehabilitation, a leg training device is desirable. Several such devices have already been developed at BFH. This project aims to further technically develop and clinically evaluate a device in order to provide a wider spectrum of foot and leg training with exergames for patients who are restricted to bed rest or at risk of fall. A ‹User-Centered Design› (UCD) process involving end-users will be used to develop the device.
