Situation
The Supporting Social Inclusion Programme (SSIP) aims to improve the opportunities for people living in Estonia, especially people from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds to participate more actively in Estonian society – focusing on improving the availability and quality of integration, education, social welfare services and promoting social innovation. The programme contributes to the national strategy «Estonia 2035». SSIP is coordinated in close collaboration with four ministries to address issues related to social inclusion in Estonia. The cooperation is part of Switzerland's second contribution to the enlarged European Union, with which Switzerland provides selected Member States of the European Union with financial and other support. As a strategic partner from Switzerland, BFH will support the programme throughout the implementation period from 2024 to 2027, in collaboration with other institutions, experts and partners in Switzerland. BFH will use its own network and in the mean time serve as «one-stop shop» for other areas of the programme as well as for exchange with practitioners.
